Synopsis[]
We've all experienced moments when we have dropped our jaws at what we are seeing on the screen. There won't be any spoilers for newer games so fanboys don't show up at the HQ.
10. Revan revealed - Star Wars: KOTOR. Knights of the Old Republic is one of the best Star Wars games. Finding out that you have been the bad guy all along is a slap to the face.
9. Corrupt data - Eternal Darkness. Eternal Darkness screws with your head. The game shuts down as you are playing it. Craig's memory card has been deleted! How can that happen? Craig felt violated when he discovered the game was messing with him again.
8. The fatality - Mortal Kombat. The 90's were a great time for gaming. SF2 was the big fighting game until the fatality came in. It caused a stir in the political world, and the bitching and complaining hasn't stopped since. Kids tried to find ways of getting out of the house to get into this mayhem.
7. First Hooker Bang - Grand Theft Auto 3. The best sandbox games right now are GTA. There is so much to see - and so much to do. There was a lot of moral panic from parents who shouldn't have let their kids play the game in the first place. Craig beats the hookers up to take their money back.
6. Racist controversy - Resident Evil 5 trailer. Resident Evil 4 was one of the best games ever. When the trailer for 5 came out, the fans freaked out. This trailer caused a lot of bitching and controversy. People were mad about a white guy killing zombies in Africa! Do people just look for things to complain about?
5. Finish the fight... later - Halo 2. Halo is a benchmark for console games and for cash. Microsoft knows how to make money. Microsoft's message was to finish the fight - but we wouldn't have had to if they hadn't of ended Halo 2 the way they did. Craig wondered if the game had to be beaten on legendary or something!
4. Samus is a chick - Metroid. Everyone knows where this is going. The player was playing as a chick this entire time!
3. Aeris' Death - Final Fantasy VII. Cloud vs Seperod. When Seth stabbed Aeries, a lot of people cried. Then the music starts. Craig cries. One of the most touching moments in video game history. Craig admits he was faking it.
2. The nuke - Call of Duty 4. Nuclear war should not be joked about. After attempting to escape from a helicopter, a nuclear blast destroys everything. The player's soldier walks out of the helicopter to see what has happened as he breathes his last breath. If you weren't shocked, you have no soul.

1. No princess here - Super Mario Bros. When controllers only had two buttons, getting to the end of Mario Bros was a great feeling. After saving the mushroom kingdom, the message "Sorry, but our princess is in another castle" appears. It's nothing nowadays, but this may have been the first time that people may have been pissed at a video game.
