Synopsis[]

Chad is tired from playing Black Ops last night. Destin watched Quantum of Solace. Craig liked Casino Royale better. They made sense when played back to back. Someone received a promotion at the office. The Tester commentary is coming out. Craig had an interview with someone on The Tester. Craig lists the other games of the week.

Hard News[]

The Kinect is pretty hot. So hot, that preorders had to be capped because there was so many of them. Destin used it this morning as he found it in a bag. Microsoft has increased its projection. As long as people keep buying it will keep selling!

Destin has to keep skipping Kinect news, as well as Black Ops, because it is saturating the news. People won't use it for very long because it is a work out. Jared has been using it as a work out.

A mom's gaming score is 200,000. There was an article about her getting 165,000. She has finally reached her goal. She is the number 5 female worldwide. Craig thinks she should be focusing more on parenting.

The L.A. Noire trailer will come out in November. Sledgehammer will be making a Call of Duty game, and it will be a marines game in space. Craig is worried about the unknown as nobody knows who Sledgehammer is.

Middle Segment[]

Craig and Chad went to a secret place. There is an NDA agreement.

Last year, Modern Warfare 2 had issues as people were ripping copies illegally. This year, they flew reviewers out to review the game, because you can't trust journalists. It was all about the Call of Duty experience.

None of this had any baring on how they reviewed the game. There were people waiting with their gamer tags. The driver takes them to Santa Monica airport. They are brought into a hanger.

There are actors immediately in character. He looks at his list and opens up a face. He pressed on a fake security code system, which made noise. The menu system looks like you are in an interigation chair. They recreated the menu screen in the set. Two people were brought into the room. They reach into a locker, and bring out helmets and earplugs.

The helmets have their gamer tag on them. There are helicopters waiting for them. Destin keeps on ruining the story. They flre them across LA. Craig had never been in a helicopter before. A field got cleared out for them. The townspeople thought that the Obamas were here! They arrived at a golf course, and they could see celebrities.

They had a room where they could play Black Ops. Craig and Chad both had their own suites. They have a massive screen, as well as an Xbox and controller fitted into each room. There were also 3D glasses if they wanted to do that.

So for three days, all they could do was play COD. Chad leveled up to level 33 and beat the main game in that time. Chad's hand was aching by the end of the event. Craig and Chad were the first ones in and last ones out every day. Half the room was full most of the time. You couldn't play multiplayer in the rooms.

There were really picky, overanalysing reviewers at the event, which ScrewAttack is against. Craig discusses having Black Ops being the first review, but he would have given it a 10, and he didn't want the first review to get a 10.

Bryan is introduced. Bryan has been promoted, and is the official community manager. Bryan describes his role. He will be organising game days and contests. There has been a lot of focus on content, and they haven't focused enough on the community.

Craig will be playing Halo Reach with the g1s on November 20th. There will be game days every 2 weeks, with a different crew member. There is a Halo Reach map making contest. Chad wants a Screwy the Monkey themed map.

A walkthrough will be helpful to go with the map. The g1 spotlight is coming back in a blog format.

Newsdesk[]

Some people who are drunk will send texts. Craig and Destin joke about Destin not going out or getting drunk. GMail is making a filter called mail goggles, forcing the user to doing math problems to test if they are capable of sending mail. It is only active at night and on weekends.

Google Maps has a glitch. Someone was trying to work out where Nicaragua ended, and another place began. He crossed over where Google Maps ended, and put up their flag. Google Maps was off by 2 miles! They ended up fixing it. Chad says that Buzz got into trouble for reading personal information without permission, so they got into trouble for it.

A person with a baby has been charged with endangerment of a child. A 27 year old was found carrying her baby under her arm like a football. They were drinking after celebrating getting off their endangerment charge!

Forum Questions[]

Q. If you could do any fatality, what would it be?

Craig remembers getting this question before. Craig changes his answer to the kiss of death. He liked the idea of ripping over an arm and beating them with it. Chad says turning into a bunny and biting their head off. Destin's is the spine rip.

Q. A couple of years ago, ScrewAttack put some content on Xbox Live Arcade. Will that be happening again?

They never got any money for that. The company that did it were frauds. Craig has reached out and asked about it.

Q. What is the creepiest piece of fan mail you've ever got?

Chad's is also the first. Chad saw a face, and found that he is being stabbed with a katana! The g1 is cool, but Chad has never let him live that down.

Craig remembers a girl who showed up with Coca Cola. Someone was acting as Craig, sending messages to her. They want to keep the location of the office secret so people don't show off. Destin thought the girl was Chad at first! Craig had to explain to the girl that it wasn't him doing it. Craig wonders why anyone would act like him.

Destin has a map named after him. There is a character with a giant cock at spawn, and it shoots swords like semen at you! It also says 'I heart Hard News.'

Q. Has ScrewAttack staff ever thought of doing a best of g1 content?

It is a good idea, but is a crazy amount of work over the year.

Q. If someone would own you in Goldeneye with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, would you try it?

Chad tried it. It's horrible. Destin feels like a god playing well with the gold controller. Destin doesn't think the old Goldeneye holds up well due to the controls.
